SHANGHAI!!!
OMG!!!
It was last October 28, 2018...
my first trip to Shanghai, China!
I was super excited because it was my first time traveling to China!
I've been hearing so much about Shanghai and was quite curious about that city too.
And this pink Chinese money!!! <3
Me and my friend we booked our flight and hotel on Expedia...
We were trying to find a cheaper flight on Skyscanner and everything but ended up booking on Expedia...it was my friend's first time using it, I like and use Expedia a lot because it's convenient.
This is not an ad...but yeah sponsor me Expedia! lol
Oh yeah and we used China Eastern Airlines.
It was really nice, good service, clean and me and my friends were very satisfied.
It was also my first time going on a trip with my best friend!
I usually like traveling alone so this was really new experience for me.
She's been my best friend for more than 20 years.
It's a long story I also talked about her on my instagram...
But yeah she's the best! <3
It was only short flight from Seoul to Shanghai about 2 hours.
We got on the Maglev
It's a super fast train and the best way to get into the city.
It's connected to the metro subway station.
Then we got this 3 day pass for the metro.
Shanghai has great metro subway system.
It was cheap and we went everywhere on the metro for 3 days.
Since in Shanghai it was sooooo hard to catch taxi...and most of the taxi drivers didn't speak English...not only taxi drivers but we didn't really meet anyone speaking good English except for the hotel employees.
But we used Taxi few times and is was very cheap but it was kinda scary, drivers were not that friendly...kinda crazy too lol.
We didn't get data plans for our cell phones and it was kinda hard to find wifi...so we literally had to look at the free map i picked it up for fun at the airport. lol
because we got lost when we tried to find our hotel...and through this trip we were lost like half of our entire time there...hahahaha
we got frustrated sometimes but now we think and talk about it...such fun memories...
this was the pic i posted on my instagram from our hotel room!
i didn't expect this view but omg!
looked like a future city from a movie or something!
then we started taking pictures of course...
and posting on instagram lol
ahh one more thing...
in China...
Facebook, Instgram, Twitter, Google all that stuffs are blocked...
So you have to download VPN app BEFORE you go to China in order to use those apps.
My friend didn't do that so she couldn't do anything...:(
Our hotel was Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel.
It's located right next to Yu Garden very famous tourist spot and close to Yu Garden metro station.
You can also get Garden view but we were so happy with the city view.
I was seriously so amazed!
Look at my face lol
We were heading out for dinner at found this mirror...
Thought we looked so skinny lol
So we started taking a lot of photos lol
My friend doesn't really like taking photos but she took some too lol
All these street signs were only in Chinese so it was so hard for us to find our way...
Even us as Korean we learn some basic Chinese characters in school...
But yeah...only few letters we knew...but that helped little bit too...haha
Shanghai was so beautiful at night...!!!
That is Oriental Pearl Tower...!
Maybe the most famous landmark in Shanghai!
And they got this European style buildings...right next too
Amazing beautiful waterfront area by the river...MUST VISIT!
We tried to find this restaurant called Grandmother restaurant on Fuzhou Rd...
We got soooo lost...we were like dying of exhaustion and hunger lol
Then we found it I was like...hhhhaahahaa
We ordered Tsingtao beer which is like the most famous and popular Chinese beer in the world...
Then the waitress recommended us this premium Tsingtao...
It was really good...
I mean at this point anything was sooooooo gooood hahahha
We ordered Mapo Tofu....I love Tofu!
Then we ordered this weird fish and mushroom in slimy sauce...
It tasted so weird but I kinda liked it because it was so weird...lol
Fried rice of course!
Yeah but this tofu....SOOO GOOOOOOD!!!
Mixed with fried rice! <3
I was so happy eating all this food...
Me and my friend filmed it like we were on a food tv hahahaha
and this beer...hahahha
it was really good....;)
Hello Chinese police lol
Then we headed to the bund to take more photos! :)
I took my new camera Nikon 1 J5....yeah I used it a lot for photos and videos :)
The moon was big and beautiful that night....<3
We got to the hotel and acted like we were busy business women in Shanghai lol
Totally hahahha
